Wilanow Palace
The Palace was buit by Augustyn Locci for Polish King Jan III Sobieski as his royal residence. Jan III Sobieski is famous for breaking the Turkish Siege of Vienna in 1683. Warsaw Rising Museum
Warsaw Rising Museum was opened during 60th Anniversary of the outbreak of Rising (on October 2nd 2004) in order to commemorate Polish who fought and died for independent Warsaw. The Warsaw Uprising broke out on 1st August 1944 and lasted 63 days. The German armed forces were stronger than the civilians of Warsaw and the fight was not the equal one. This is considered one of the most tragic episodes in Polish history. The aim of Warsaw Rising Museum is to explain the events which are connected with Warsaw Rising such as international situation and occupation.

The Royal Castle
